Oh my god, Strangers in Paradise. The last time I saw or heard about that was, you know, right around 10 years ago. Now I'd really like to see all the stuff thats gone on in a decade. I remember the guy having short hair....
Congrats on the graduation! Hard earned.

So what kind of cheese does Maggie Gyllenhaal like?
These comics are really great, by the way.
i don't know if i could ever handle a tattoo, but the six blank panels is interesting.
if i ever got one, i'd probably go for charlie brown's head on my bicep.
I'll be at MoCCA too. I'll be at table A47 in the big room on the main floor. Stop by, I want to buy a copy of your book! Wahoo!
I hope your hands heal up soon.
This post contains SO MUCH AWESOMENESS that I can't even stand it! The uke is lovely, as are the books (I want one!), the comics, the photos, the anecdotes, and everything else!!!!!
...except for the cheese mites.
AAAGH AAAAAUGH AAAAUGH! the screaming will never stop.
Oh that's just wrong. I swear some people must sit around thinking "what's the grossest thing I can eat?"
I seriously love your journal stuff. And I would probably seriously love any of your other stuff if I had read it yet.
Awesome comics! I really want to get a tattoo, but I'm still not sure of what/where, but I do like yours!
I'll see you at MoCCA, totally going to buy a copy of your book!
Hey, that is awesome! Cheese shops are such fascinating places. I just ordered a copy of French Milk to send to my little sister, nice work! :-)
Erika just gave me one of your french milks, and Im absolutely delighted. Thank you for the little customization it it too. Im adoring these journal comics. Their really really good!
There's a ton of excellent little moments in these!
I like the comics tattoo--way to show people what you're made of!
oh man, awesome comics, awesome tattoos!
You know who my absolute, all time, favourite, hottest, actors are (other than Stephan Fry and Will Ferell, of course)? Heath Ledger, Christian Bale and Maggie Gyllenhaal, with some Micheal Caine thrown in for good measure. AND THEY ARE ALL IN YOUR CITY MAKING A MOVIE ABOUT MOTHER FRACKING BATMAN RIGHT NOW! You are a lucky girl, I hope you know that. Let's not even get started about my love for all things chicago, cheese and the art institute or the way even your little jotted journal comics blow my mind. *jealous*
As always, complete love for the daily comics! Lol, I know nothing about cheese.
Great stuff, Lucy! Just goes to show that even when yo uthink nothing is going on in our mundane lives, there's some story to tell.
Some of your suctomers [sic] are suicidal. If I saw a cheese girl with a knife, a look like that on her face, and not one but two lines of bubbles leading up to her thought balloon I'd immediately buy cheese and run out of the store, without pausing a second to look at what's in the thought balloon.
By the way, just at the sight of your WOO! icon the idea JUST THREE MORE DAYS TIL MOPED DAY jumped in my mind.
oh man.. i'm not quite sure how i feel about SIP's ending... I mean.. if you'd asked me the day before reading the last 2 issues, I MIGHT have said that that was exactly how I wanted it to end... but only because I thought he would do something at least a little more creative! Sheeeeesh.
also.. your comics are amazing and make me giggle in public, often.
also also... I may have spent about 45 minutes trying to figure out how to play Water Again on my guitar today, to no avail.
thanks for being inspiring!!
So cool. Really. Shucks.
Tattoos are popping up everywhere. My best friend just got a Moomin tattoo on his forearm and now I feel like I should get one too. And then your panel one...
i love your daily comic!!! you should see a doc for your hands maybe your alergic.
i poke the chesse and eat all the samples jejejejejeje
I know I already told you this in person, but the comic panels tat is the best tatoo I've ever seen.
Maggie Gyllenhaal is great in The Baxter, are you selling that full color comic? |
