3 Things, then you can get to the journal comics


1. I leave for MoCCA on Friday! Find me there! Corner me and have me turn-out my pockets! I'm gonna have "French Milk," assorted buttons, and also.... A Full Color, 8.5/11 in, professionally-bound, HSSC!*
*Assuming these get delivered on time. They'll be 10$. French Milk will be $15. And the buttons range from "$0, to $2.

2. To squash my late-night antsies, and to do something other than work on my daily comic, I've painted my old ukulele. See the whole process here: FINGERSTYLE UKE.

3. I have a picture taken during my graduation. In it, I clasp my hard-won empty leaflet (they send us the diplomas 30 days after), and I'm flanked my my gingery parents, and loving grandparents! Today I finally got my actual documentation of graduation, so without further ado, GRADUMICATION!

It seems like most of my days off are like this...

On this trip, we also went to this gigantic salsa party at The Terrace.


I am talking to the Humboldt Fog, which is one of our best-selling cheeses.


In this picture, the famous Bernie is on the right, and Dan (another of my co-workers) is on the left. They had matching connected muttonchop/sideburn/mustaches for a while!

Also, the movie I'm watching is "Arthur," starring Dudley Moore and Liza Minelli. Oh,Arthur. You do so love the booze! And you heal my mite-disgust.


This was, mind you, the fourth of a six-day work-week.


SummerJohn is adorable.


My hands are pretty darn horrible.


Now that Strangers in Paradise has ended, the only thing keeping me from weeping until I barf is the crazily happy ending to the whole saga.

I know I'm still a few days behind, but I'm biiiiizeeeee!

Oh my god, Strangers in Paradise. The last time I saw or heard about that was, you know, right around 10 years ago. Now I'd really like to see all the stuff thats gone on in a decade. I remember the guy having short hair....

i don't know if i could ever handle a tattoo, but the six blank panels is interesting.

if i ever got one, i'd probably go for charlie brown's head on my bicep.

You know who my absolute, all time, favourite, hottest, actors are (other than Stephan Fry and Will Ferell, of course)?
Heath Ledger, Christian Bale and Maggie Gyllenhaal, with some Micheal Caine thrown in for good measure.
AND THEY ARE ALL IN YOUR CITY MAKING A MOVIE ABOUT MOTHER FRACKING BATMAN RIGHT NOW!
You are a lucky girl, I hope you know that.
Let's not even get started about my love for all things chicago, cheese and the art institute or the way even your little jotted journal comics blow my mind.

Some of your suctomers [sic] are suicidal. If I saw a cheese girl with a knife, a look like that on her face, and not one but two lines of bubbles leading up to her thought balloon I'd immediately buy cheese and run out of the store, without pausing a second to look at what's in the thought balloon.

By the way, just at the sight of your WOO! icon the idea JUST THREE MORE DAYS TIL MOPED DAY jumped in my mind.

oh man.. i'm not quite sure how i feel about SIP's ending... I mean.. if you'd asked me the day before reading the last 2 issues, I MIGHT have said that that was exactly how I wanted it to end... but only because I thought he would do something at least a little more creative! Sheeeeesh.

also.. your comics are amazing and make me giggle in public, often.

also also... I may have spent about 45 minutes trying to figure out how to play Water Again on my guitar today, to no avail.
