Vigilantes can never be counted on to adhere to societal expectations. Today in class we watched a few of the super-cheesiest Batman episodes, and I doodled this little comic.

Batman and Robin + any situation other than crime-fighting = silly.
A running comics joke among a few of my CCS pals is that our friend, Jon should draw a Batman comic. Another running comics joke is that I can't draw anything scary, because I always end up making it cute....I drew an ogre stepping on babies to discredit this claim, and it was met with "Aw"s!
This is my challenge! I will draw something scary by the end of the week! MARK ME!

I love this comic. :D
"I can't draw anything scary, because I always end up making it cute...." I have the same disease. The cute disease... But we can fight it! Go scare the pants off everyone! You can do it!!!
i don't think it comes as any surprise that i LIKE THIS A LOT. :D
I THOUGHT you might enjoy this one... Everything I know about batman I leaned from you.
i'm sure i've never so much as mentioned the names of messrs west and ward in your presence, madame! *g*
i've never watched that old show. i take it hilarity abounds? and pantyhose?
TIME OUT!!! Where did you get an Oscar Wilde action figure?
Who even makes those?
What the heck?
(Where can I get one)?
Might be this one -- made by the same people who made the Sigmund Freud sitting on my desk. ANALYSING ME.
Yup, it's totally that one. I love his little green carnation, and his jaunty little cane.
What class, Adam West 101? (I would totally take that class.)
This reminds me of the pinnacle of my achievement in elementary school art class. It was like, 4th grade, and we were learning about American art, and parody. So the teacher assigned us to do a parody of American Gothic, and I think its obvious who I had in the foreground instead of the farmer and his daughter (not his wife, his daughter). I thought the best part was that instead of the gothic barnyard or whatever, I had a bank being robbed in the back ground and Batman saying "Aren't you glad our city is safe Robin?" When I was ten I thought it was awesome, I wish I still had it.
I really love the way you've drawn batman.
The nerd in me compels me to point out that superman's boots aren't black. Maybe his red boots wore out and he bought new ones. :P
MY superman's boots are black.
A co-worker and I had a discussion similar conversation about what villans do when they're not doing villan-y things, like Joker on the toilet. | |
