SO great! :D Love the crowd shots.
Hey! I forgot to include the fact that I saw you wanderin' around NYC on Friday. I was walking up from the financial district, and I saw you but you didn't see me, and I said, "Marion!" very quietly because I wasn't TOTALLY sure it was you, but I THINK it was. Anyway, it was a weird little moment and I was all happy after I saw you.
...I'm a little creepy.
No kidding! Sorry I missed you! Oh man, Kean and Naseem must have been just a couple steps away! We had just gotten dumplings on Rosemary Mosco street and were headed downtown over the Brooklyn Bridge for Pizza. Walk and eat. That's all I care to do when people come in from out of town. ;)
You're not creepy at all. At least if you are, you're the cute kind of creepy which is just fine, hee hee.
Awesome! Man, I don't want to sound silly, but do you even know how to eat a taco? That panel is solid awkward.
Haha, clearly not.
But it was more weird social things that occurred, post-con, that resulted DURING the awkward taco-eating, that I was cloaking in a veil of taco. But also the taco was hard to eat.
Did you see this video with you getting high fived??? You look like eric is going to hurt you. It is here:http://mrcolossal.livejournal.com/tag/mocca+2008
This is awesome! I wish me went to comics high school together and we could hang out in the back of the library and read ghost books together. Don't ask me to explain myself.
Hahaha! I look like he's swatting my hand out of the air! Amazing.
I know exactly what you mean about the ghost books/comic high school thing.
hi! i really enjoy your comics! i just wanted to say that that is one classy corner store.
And the hilarious thing is: It's totally NOT a classy corner store! It's just a little market thingy in my Dad's cruddy financial district neighborhood. I have NO IDEA why they have these things, but they do and I HONED IN ON THEM.
HEY! Is that me smack dab in the middle of the crowd shot? (If it's not you can just tell me that it is anyways! hahah!)
Lucy I really wish that you and I could have hung out a bit! The only bad part about MoCCA is that is has to end and then everyone has to go home.
Also, I read Relish and I wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed it! The Japan part is my favourite I think
AND! Great comic! I laughed at the taco awkwardness panel. It's too good
Yu huh! That's you! You can tell because I drew you laaaauuughing!
I wish MoCCA was everyday for like four minutes. That way we'd all be super energized and excited for the entire time!
ahahah!! AWESOME! I guess my laugh really is my defining characteristic!
I'm not sure if I am in that PEOPLE! panel or not, but either way it was really cool meeting you even if only for a minute! If you're at SPX this year we'll have to hang out!
Oof. Now I wanan just start saying "taco awkwardness" at random intervalws. As if people didn't already think I was crazy. :/
That's great, it DOES look very exhausting! I want to go to MoCCA some day, I'm so envious of all you guys who went!
Goat Brie ? Where do they make this ? Is it good ? (I mean I like Brie, and I like most goat cheeses too, so I guess I should try this)
It was so great to see you again. We'll have to actually hang out at SPX (and maybe play some music together??)(also I will be legally allowed to drink making social get-togethers easier) I am absolutely loving Pretty/Nerdy it hasn't left my car cd player all week. Now how can I get a copy of Radiator Days?
I bought your last copy of Relish, so I guess that's my arm in that panel. I read it on the plane and loved it; but that made me upset that I didn't buy everything at your table. It was nice meeting you at the show! This comic recap of MoCCA is great, by the way.
Hahahaa!! I forgot about Jess' outfit. As soon as I saw her, I tunred to my buddy and said, "That's GOTTA be Jess Fink!"
Is that one bald dude supposed to be me? If so, I'm missing my goatee. If not, I'm just feeling full of myself thinking it's me...and don't feel bad if it wasn't meant to be me-I'm an attention whore!!
HAR!! I clutched my copy of Radiator Days closer when my pal told me you were sold out. Told dude to hit the tables early in case that happened, but did he listen? Nooooo. Was also glad to have bought one of the three remaining "Relish" books on Sunday. Yeee HAWWW!!!
Oof, yes, it's sposed to be you. I will fix that now.
I drew a tiiiiny little Jay Marcy goatee!
Ha ha! It looks like I am eating nothing. (But I imagine that's a pancake?) :)
This rules and I wish I had the energy to do something similar, but I'm STILL zonked from the weekend, a week later. :p
Oh yeah! You were eating eggs, right? maybe you'd already finished it!
Actually it was fruit (in a fancy glass) and toast! I was a little tummy-weary that morning. :D
Oh that's right! That will be the secret of the day, un-memorialized in comic form.
Years later, it will be a great mystery!
Lucy, YOU ARE THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST. Yep, the best. Rita agrees. -Yvonne
Hey Lucy - I don't think I mentioned that I read your LJ but it was really great meeting you! You were out of Radiator Days before I got there, next year I'll pick up a few things!
It was wonderful to meet you, too! I hope we can someday pit our awkwardness against each other for longer than a few minutes. Sometimes my comicslove comes pouring out of me without any sort of control, but I was so happy to see you!
Yay, you're coming to chicago! It's nice here... as in not the weather, cause it's kind of humid. Chicago is nice though.
I'm too nervous to journal comics (that is to say journalize in comicization form), but now I feel like I need to!
Also, I'm double famous since that's my Superman too. (And I think that's the squid you drew for Curt.. unless you drew a ton of squids and Supermans.)
I didn't get to thank you in person since I couldn't get away from our table for two seconds on Sunday, but that was so ridiculously awesome (the Superman on a dinosaur/dragon)and it was super cool meeting you guys and I'm glad we got Radiator Days before it sold out (it's awesome)and I hope we remembered to give you a copy of our comic (not as awesome)!
Damn, I knew I should've asked you to save a copy of radiator days. (I'm in Ireland no way of getting to wherever it was)
