It looks as though you had grasped subtlety as a little kid, not just alliteration. That's way better text than I was ever producing in my childhood illustrated stories!
I almost wish I had a PS3 so that I could play Little Big Planet. Alas, school in the new year ($3,900 for my program) is going to leave me tapped out, even with my parents helping bank-roll a good portion of it.
That looks a lot like the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Just sayin'
I've considered getting a PS3 solely for Little Big Planet.
Yeah, totally FSM. What's that last word, first line of second page? "Difrit"? I love the quiet understatement of "a litl bit".
I just discovered you by way of Erika Moen. You make me sick with envy, you ridiculously talented thing.
Jesus, I know, right?
I completely forgot Stephen Fry did the narration in LBP and I when I went to play it for the first time I was just like "OH, MY GOD" and then, I knew how it felt to love again.
Oh I understand that one. I love Sims, Vice City, and Crash Bandicoot.
The latter especially.
One day last summer my cousin Dillon made the mistake of asking me to beat a level on it for him and I skipped two days of soccer practice and stayed in that room, eating my meals and all, until I could beat it. Then, inevitably, on the last level it froze.
I never play video games anymore but once I sit down to play them I basically forget everything else. Quite sad really =].

Haha brilliant story-you should work it out!
And Stephen-fucking-Fry... I'd buy a PSP just for that... Don't forget to breathe and all that! ^^
I'm looking forward to seeing the levels from artists that got little big planet, (you, kochalka, wolfhard). Even if I'll never be able to play 'em unless it comes to 360, (which it never will). Could you try to post videos of the levels?
I got your French Milk book for Christmas, it rocked and I loved your tweed coat. You guys ate so much tasty food! Too much foie gras though, those poor geese, as I'm always telling my boyfriend.
Ohhh my gosh little big planet is so much fun!!!
I got "radiator days" and "Pretty/Nerdy" for X-mas :D
I finished Radiator days in one afternoon (in the dark... the power had gone out :( ), but I'm really happy to have more of your work to look at :3
I have yet to listen to Pretty/Nerdy, but I'm sure it's great!
Haha, I can relate - I have been playing Wii constantly for the past several days. You had incredible handwriting at a young age!
That is awesome! I used to write little illustrated story books too.... Wow, I wonder where those are. I used to get really into colouring in the covers, I seem to remember....
I do like the father-monster.
I think your comics are brilliant, by the way. I'm so glad I stumbled across your blog and will be seeking out your book shortly. Congrats on your successes!
oh wow. you just can't things like that [drawing] up!
How did I not realize Stephen Fry was narrating that game? Possibly I was paying too much attention to dying. A lot. |
