Shall I put rimming sugar on your tunnel bundt? I miss you! I didn't make it up to Boston, but NEXT TIME.
your dad looks like he woulda been a blast
I almost watched the notebook on tv tonight as well... I've never see it. All the other girls squeal about it, someday i'll give it a try.
Anyway, this was lovely. :)
awesome comic!! by chance did you get to play force unleashed? is it any good?
amazing comic! equally amazing photograph of parental unit in his glory days!
Your dad makes me want to watch Starsky & Hutch. B)
Hourly comics? Gutsy move, gutsy move. Also; awesome!
Uncle Julio's! I've been there. It was pretty okay.
I havent done one of these in a couple years... I think I might try it when I get up in the morning!
Tee hee. I pretty much had that same reaction when LJ wasn't loading for me earlier.
And now I suddenly want to dig up this old picture of my mom as a kid (with her brothers, and a couple neighborhood kids) riding this rad scooter. Well, posing and pretending to ride it, anyway.
I totally decided randomly today to try out hourly comics, too! (but I'm new at the game.) These are totally fab.
I absolutely cannot believe how well you drew those. I just can't imagine having the patience to make hourlies look that fucking beautiful.
Also I loved the dirty sounding products. Especially "rimming sugar."
I know right? I barely have the time to do them in my crappy way.
One day, there will be a zoom scanner, and it will scan fast.
:D
Leather vest = win. :D
Your Dad looks cool xD Seriously!
Aw, man, these are super great.
I am always pretty disappointed when Hourly Comic Day falls on a weekend, since I like seeing people's regular old days best. I think maybe I'm going to have to have a random Hourly Comic Weekday this month to make up for it.
I totally thought LJ was gone yesterday too.
AND OMG KYLE XY!!! I would jump into a pit of fire ants to make that come on just one day earlier.
So you had leftover sushi and were able to wait until dinner time to eat it?! I crack into mine at breakfast.
I also totally freaked out when I saw that LJ was down... and thank you for alerting me that Kyle XY is back, I didn't know!
Of course, the hourlies look totally awesome! And a buddy of mine went to high school with Ryan Gosling in Burlington Ontario here in the Northern wilds of Canada...
I love your facial expression when eating that sushi.
4pm made me giggle because I'm 12 years old.
Also: I posted that before I got to 7pm.
yay hourlies! the vocals are mixed way too loud in that video! they should've brought the music up a lot more to match them also, here's a great song about "gone" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oc8jWdcS9tYenjoy! -dan
LEFTOVER SUSHI! So much joooy.
Yay for Hourlies (yours and Ryan's and John's)
Fun Fact No 36: The Devil Wears Prada is the only film I've walked out of, It wasn't my thing.
haha awesome sauce! I am so glad you are doing these! That picture is fantastic! My dad had crazy long hair too, like Led Zeppelin style!
Awesome hourlies! So...your grandpa was a teeny man, eh? :P
Hee! I'm just posting to say I love your work and I just bought your book last night and it's awesome and you make me wanna be a cartoonist! I love your hourlies. And I wish my gym had a shower!
Oh man! I am in love with your inking. It's so slick and natural. Well played.
I loved these little daily comics. They are sweet.
Oh, hey! Did you get my e-mail?
Your journal's background blows my mind. Where's it from?
I made it! It's actually pretty easy to make a repeat pattern. I had it made into fabric recently, too! Thank you.
(A) Hey, I love your hourlies. Found you via Ryan Pq. What's your this book of yours I just saw mentioned? Oh, I have much to learn. I love how light and natural and relaxed all the movements/stances are in your work. You have a deft touch! (B) I love your bg too and have already pinched it to use as my desktop background. :X How do you go about getting a design made into fabric? I've always wondered.
Reading your comics are the perfect excuse for me to take breaks from writing. I hope you're gonna put some up on Etsy again. Thanks for the laughs.

Inauthentic, but embarrassingly tasty. I think the secret ingredients are butter, garlic, and salt.

Ooops, that was me, not logged in.
I'll be doing an hourly comic on 2/1; the art will not be as refined as yours, I fear.
Wow, those are amazing.
Naughty sounding kitchen products is hilarious.
hey, i haven't seen any of your newer posts and if there are any, i'm sorry i haven't read it yet. but i just want to greet you a happy birthday. hope you have fun!
Уважаемая Люси!!! Поздравляю с Днём Рождения!!! Желаю сбычи мечт!! :) And on your native language: Dear Lucy!!! I wish happy birthday!!! I wish execution of dreams!!:) yours faithfully, the Baba-yaga from Russia :)
Awesome...just, just...awesome.
Scanners work faster if you chew them. FAK(e)T
In all my livejournaling, you are the first comicker i have seen who is like...my internetty twin! Everything you did that day sounds like something I would do. BTFW, I am making hourlies right now, but all I am posting this week is my tester day. But next week, UP THEY GO!! (Technical Difficulties (Also, they are not as good as yours))
all your dad needs is a pair of awesome plaid pants to complete the look. (=
i love love love your hourly comics. i hereby request that you make them a monthly occurrence! |
