rainbow from the butthole. classic.
It is, isn't it? Like, way more classic than "rainbow over the cloud with care-bears sliding down it."
OHmyGAWD, I love this. Especially the 'pew pew' guns.
I...I almost like the sketch more, haha.
Yeah, me too! Something about the sketch-- maybe the flying hearts.
I think it's the faces on the clouds and sun that make the sketch a little bit better... but something's going on with the castle's perspective.... I can't tell where you wanted the horizon to be. ;)
Butt hole rainbows are the best.
I think I carded you two tonight. I wasn't sure at first, but now I totally recognize that unicorn.
Haha, seriously? We are known for our amazing unicorn vehicle.
Totally seriously. I was going to say "Hey I really like your comics" when you left, but then that guy came and stood next to me and started telling me awful stories, and the moment was gone. You walked out, climbed on your unicorn and shot off in a rainbow-colored cloud.
Thanks! That woulda totally make my YEAR. I NEVERRR get recognized. One time I was at the BW and this guy came up to me and started telling me stories about how he once saw someone blow off his own hand with a firework. Then I had to walk home on the fourth of July. I love that place, in part because of the awful stories I hear sometimes.
And when you work there, you get to be in some of the stories. Which isn't always good. And cartoonists always get special treatment there-- at least when I'm working.
this is my new computer background.
Haha, awesome! The sketch or the color version?
the color version! and i showed my husband and he said it was awesome!
Lucy!!!! This illustration is amazing!
Its better than anything I could have imagined! So incredibly awesome. Well done =D
Oh goood! I'm so glad you like it. It's goin' on the back cover of the book. I bet you didn't think, when Erika and I made the first sketch at like 3 in the morning, slightly drunk, that anything could come close to its majesty. I think I got close enough.
the 3am doodle is a winner, but your cleaned up one is just as good!
I can't wait for Erika to see it (shes internetless in seattle) once she gets back; it'll blow her mind!
LOL
srsly, you inspire me a lot :'DDD
Always glad to lend a butt-rainbow to a fellow patron of the artz.
Yes. Of course. He's all, "nien! Nien!

...okay, that was disturbing. "Nien" (pronounced something like "neen") is short for my name and my friends always call me that. So now I had this really weird vision of Hitler calling me by my nickname, until I realized you meant "nein" *grin*
Awesome pics, though.
This is awesome on at least 12 levels.
Oh man, this is so great! Go Lucy and Erika! This book is going to be awesome!
This is a most interesting and fully comprehensive interpretation of the 20th century!
Wait... I missed something, what's this book?
I am impressed by the sheer volume of childlike glee in this photo. My happy-meter is all full up now!
I'm on board with whatever this drawing is telling me to do.
I love it. YAY, UNICORNS!
This is the coolest thing I have ever seen.
That there unicorn is going to burn his feet (or more important bits) with that nifty rocket!
he just can't ever get aroused.
is his life even worth LIVING
This has gotta be the awesome-est thing I've seen all week.
Thank you for posting this. You make my day. ^_^
Okay, um, yeah, this is amazing.
It's funny to me that the unicorn has a rocket
"Damn, we shoulda got a Pegasus instead."
What does it say about me that I noticed the shoes first?
AWESOME.
SO. AWE$OME.
The best part is that you're riding sidesaddle. (I'm probably just saying that's the best part because it's the last thing I noticed. I've had a few tonight, too.)
I'm so fuggin pleased. I am planning a similar split with my friend Abby called Friendship Bracelet.
p.s. this is sweet.
such great majesty needs a haiku in tribute. but I kinda suck. |
