ahaha! The cat's expression!
Well, I was a tiny bit jealous 'cause I missed-out on Stumptown this year... but all those other layers of awesome you've slathered-on make me wanna curl-up with one of those round cartoon bombs (with the sparkly fuses) and just explode!
But for realzies good job, lady. Well done :D

I couldn't help but notice that it looks like your book is shelved with books about France and not in a catchall "GRAPHIC NOVELS!" section? How incredibly novel and interesting!
-JT
I work at Barnes & Noble...
It's not shelved in graphic novels there either, it's shelved with travel writing.
Third picture down - adorable AND hilarious. Well done you.
wow, that's incredibly awesome! What a great trip!
Hee, I bought my copy of French Milk right there! Ooooh spooky. I wish I'd been able to come to Stumptown and buy all your stuff :O
That last photo is fantastic!
Oh, cats just love to 'help' don't they?
I want a copy of French Milk!
oh, my friend Jewlie goes to NYU Fashion! I'm jealous. of her seeing you, not of her going to NYU fashion.
Looks like you had a great time! I wish I can get to one of those comic gatherings soon!
So French Milk is possibly gonna be a movie? Exciting!
I love the last pic. too cute for words
I just wanted to say "Howdy" and let you know I am now a part of the legions that adore your work. I found you through Erika Moen, I am the devilish photographer that keeps covering her in things (coming soon, marshmallow cream!) and was really fascinated by the Escher-like quality of your sexy poster collaboration not to mention the impressive variety. It's really amazing in person. In general I just think you're groovy and very insipring.
That looked like it was a great weekend!
Congrats on the film rights!!
I just bought your book (amazing) and I am going to france myself in about a month! Do you have any advice? how did you book your flight (no pun intended) AAA mabye? Thank you so much!!!
Ashley
that you'd get better energy from the other end of the kitteh
Movie rights!??? Congratulations!!
I have serious beard envy. Curse you Longstreth!
That's such awesome, amazing news! Selling film rights? Wow! How exciting! :D Best of luck with everything and thanks for the update.
(Lol at cat's expression heehee XD )
I am SO in the same place as you, but I can't do the "Stick-Your-Face-In-An-Animal-And-All-Will-Be-Well" because my dog got sprayed by a skunk yesterday... :( Enjoy your relatively normal-smelling (I assume) kitty!
oh, and minus the movie deal. >_
Sounds amazing, thanks for the write-up! It's great to have you back, I missed your posts.
the photos are nice, especially the last one ..awww
I'm really into that last picture. AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW 4EVER

Long time reader, first time comment. Heya! Any chance by any chance that theres a chance that you'll sell your and Erica's a*maz*ing poster online, by chance? Cuz, um, I've already got a space picked out on my wall....
You're great, thanks for the pretty things to look at and allowing me to close my eyes and dream about being an artist every so once in a while...

Hey you! I'm glad to see your update. Sadly I'm still broke (and in debt) so i have yet to buy French Milk :(
I love the last picture with you & your kitty.
Oh and my little sister (age 9) has a lot of talent and I REALLY think she's going to have her own comic strip and books. I'll post a picture of her latest work soon. I think you'll find it rather interesting ;)

floorspace in Maine | (Link)

If you don't already have a some floorspace reserved in Maine, you are welcome to a swath of ours.
Depending on our luck we'll either have one space in Portland or a space in Portland and a space in Freeport by Friday the 15th. Our current abode is humble, but convenient to everything.
Either way, we'll be dropping by your table on the 17th. :)
That drawing is the best ever.
Now it is on my desktop.
Great photo post/travelogue!
Your cat is insanely adorable!
You live an amazing life.
Sometimes I refuse of reading classic literature and flip to wonderful comics of Lucy Knisley. Her light, interesting and vivid imagination has hooked me and I just can not stop reading, reading and reading… by the way… the drawing style is quite unusual … Sincerely yours, Mark a specialist in conveyancing quotation |
