I love reading these, they're so cute.
Nice picture of all of you! :D
Love your hourlies! ♥ Question! How do you use to ink with? :O
I use a Faber Castell PITT pen. Love them. It's waterproof true-black india ink. Highly recommend them.
I'm new as a follower, but I LOVE those hourlies you make :D Love love love love. It's like a cooler version of adayinmylife :D
Huh-- cool, I hadn't seen that "adayinmylife," thing.
I'm really glad you like these!
I love your expression in the first cat loaf panel.
I am full of cat-hat delight.

Re: You all look the same!
I wrote the 'you all look the same' post before reading though your Wednesday hourly. I would like to add: Nelly is hilarious! I love your cat more each comic and I sincerely hate Bra shopping too!!! I know your pain! Did you buy any in the end though??
p.s I'm anonymous only because I dont have a Journal. My name is Meg and I'm from England and your comic is the only one which has kept me a fan for the longest and dont really read others as much because yours keeps my attention!!! I havent stopped paying attention! :-D
I really like the way you've been drawing recently!
Thanks! It might be because I'm working so hard on the book and other projects, that my free-time work is loosening up or improving.
Ponyo Ringtone FOR THE WIN! :D and great comic. :D ohh kitty loaf..I miss my kitty. :D
Haha, I made it in garageband especially for Nelly, because she sings it ALL THE TIME.
Kitty loaf is so delicious.
Dr. House is totally hot. I have dreams about him sometimes. *^_^* Kurt's pretty awesome too.
And congrats on the Marvel! That's extraordinarily cool.
Ugh-- I knowwwwww. I thought, when that show began, that he would never be hotter than as Bertie Wooster, but he just continues to get hotterrrrr.
Did you hear Kurt gets a boyfriend next season? I'm embarrassingly excited about it.
And thanks! I'm really happy about the Marvel piece.
aww... i think i want your cat. :)
and btw, macarons are awesome <3
Oh macarons, my only, my precious.
I love that the very first panels had me giggling -- I swear, our cats are long lost siblings. My evil beast LOVES to race around the apartment at obscene hours.
And the Rosie O'Donnell one had me laughing, too.
Fantastic, as usual!
Stupid nocturnal self-domesticating animals! She woke me up tonight by licking my elbow. What a JERK.
I wasn't afraid of Rosie before, but after the description of that dream, I'm not sure I can deal with her.
Your cat's expression in that final frame is a killer.
She's all: Get up and put food in my bowl, you layabout!
Luuuucy Louuuuuuuuuuu, we are gonna be in the same comic! :D
I knowwwwww, after like ten years of drooling all over your art, I'm gonna have my art printed next to yourrrs!
I'm really excited to see your piece for the comic! I bet it's ridiculously awesome.
Rice nachos?? o_O I am so going to try this.
It's really good! And vaguely sort-of healthy. I've been eating it for lunch a lot, lately. Good stuff.
There will never be a day where your drawings of your cat won't fill me with joy. Oh man I didn't know you were doing something for Marvel. It will surely dazzle millions. Also: House and Glee are the best shows ever o man.
I would totally go to an eel wedding.
House and Glee! Hurray!
You are indeed the most awesome person ever. My cat has taken to sleeping on my head lately, she hasn't done that before. Cats are weird.
It's good, though, because cat hats are the warmest kind of hats!
I love these hourlies! You and the other artists who do them just rock my socks. :D
Not to be a nitpicker, but the & at 1pm and 3pm is backwards. It looks like a cursive S.
I knowwww-- Ampersands are, for some reason, really hard to get right for me! When I was a kid, the only thing I consistently wrote backwards were "5"s. Now it's "&"s. Go figure!
why don't IIIIIIII live in chicago?? I love fish! And sparkle parties! Awesome comics, Lucy!
NORA MOVE HERE!
You'd be in my comic ALL THE TIME, and this weekend we're going to a crazy queer mudwrestling sparkle party. And now Roskos lives here and Nelly is amassing an army of awesome. It won't be awesome or army enough without youuuu!
your art just keeps getting better. the lines seem, i dunno, more strident? does that even make sense? John reminds me of Ted Leo. Is that hoodie shiny? also are you coming to emerald city comicon this year?
He DOES look a bit like Ted Leo! Haha! Last week the comparison was to Thom Yorke. John's cornering the market on indie rockers.
The hoodie isn't shiny, but the jacket over the hoodie is craaaazy sequined. It's my Michael Jackson Jacket, and I love it.
No Emerald City, alas. I'm packing a whole bunch of cons into April, and it'll likely be too much--As I won't have much new stuff by this summer (still working on the food book), I'm not doing too many conventions, but once that book comes out, I'll hit 'em allllll!
That is way too fucking cool.
I never read anything Marvel related as a wee, and haven't much now, but I respect it. And the fact that you're involved in this project just makes me crazy happy!
And I'll admit to wanting to buy that book just so I can see what you've done. These comics they list look really fun! I hope they go well!
Yeah, the comic seems like it's pretty chock full of awesome people!
I didn't read much Marvel as a kid, either, but it's like this major supah-powah in the comics world, then and now, and I'm glad to finally get a chance to do a little piece for them. It's short and sweet and probably not much like most Marvel stuff, which makes me happy that they're branching out a bit. Seems like it'll be a really fun book!
As always I truly appreciate the honesty and disclosure.
Freakin love the feline illustrations, especially the one-toothed 'wired' look.

Re: Awesome awesome
Thanks! Kitty's such a good inspiration.
the french market! did you get the macarons from vanille patisserie? i peddle pastries at their clybourn shop, you should stop in sometime!
I did get them from Vanille! And they were AWESOME! AND I've been to the Clybourn shop! In fact, I went there to get like 50 macarons to bring to my book opening a couple years ago. So cool that you work there-- what a wonderful place to be, day in and out. I'm sure I'll be in again sometime in the near future!
the pic does seem like a cast photo hehehe!
It's like, "behind the scenes of Lucy's comics!"
I read this this morning and am now doing the hourlies thing through today. Yours are great!
Thanks! Good luck on your hourlies!
Ahahaha, distressed cat is distressed by being smooched!
