I made this little front-door-poster to help remind me to bring this stuff with me when I go out. (I frequently squint my way down the street before I realize I don't have my glasses on) I'll be selling a print version at TCAF and online soon, for my fellow forgetful peeps.
This season always surprises me by being the craziest crazytrip to crazytown. You go the whole sleepy winter managing your time because there's no reason to leave your desk, and then all of a sudden there are a million conventions, people to see, places to ride your scooter, and total delightful chaos!
I just got back to Chicago, and now I'm shipping off to Toronto for TCAF! I'm excited, as usual, to go. I'll be doing a panel with Dylan Meconis and Erika Moen on Saturday at 2:30 ("Ask a Freelancer"). I'll also be teaching a short kids comics workshop on Saturday morning at 10: ("Comics 101 Workshop").
I made an image pile of all the stuff I'm bringing to sell. See you there? I hope so!
Here are the books I'll have:

And the 11x17in prints I'll be selling:

And here's where I'll be sitting-- Come find me!

Hey! awesome! Our tables are close (I'm on 130) so i'll be able to come by early and pick up your wonderful books!
Ahhh! Front-door poster!!! I've been wanting something like this for my entire life!!!
I am crazy in love with that front-door poster.
Oh I'm so excited to meet you this weekend!
I no longer live near Toronto, so I won't be able to take a third annual picture of you at TCAF. That makes me sad. Gonna be doing any conventions in St. Louis this year? Or Indianapolis? I could probably swing Indianapolis.
Hey! I've been reading your blog for over a year now and I was really looking forward to catch up with you at TCAF since I live in Quebec City and that's the closest place you'll be from where I live! Unfortunately, I spent all my money on rotring pens for my own comics... Anyway I'll be glad to meet you some other time, maybe at TCAF next year? Make sure to have fun and keep up with your amazing work! :)
Ah crap, I totally forgot. I even went past the library to go to the Shopper's Drug Mart! DRAT! Hope you come next year!
Damn, I wish I had those cheese and pasta posters in my kitchen!
This front-door poster is not only beautiful, but would also be the greatest gift I could find for my pathologically absentminded boyfriend. Is there any way to buy it online or by mail (knowing I live in Montréal)? Would be, at the same time, a gift for me to have one of your great drawing home. | |
