Dream comic! [Jan. 12th, 2009|10:17 pm]

And last night, I had a dream that I had to fight a giant snake off my mom's puppy! Scary.

Thank you for all the nice birthday greetings yesterday! I actually had a great birthday, which was a nice change from my usual anxiety-ridden festival of ennui.

Oh, I've been tweeting. I resisted it for a long time, but it's pretty fun!

Ok, back to work. Things to do, things to do.

This awesome! The colors make me happy!
Have you seen this comic about a preggers lady? She is less a super hero and more a barbarian though:

also here (she is not preggers in this one):

That looks based off of Red Sonja, who was pregnant at one point if memory serves.

I have definitely directed/choreographed entire theatrical productions in my sleep, in extreme detail. If only I could remember those dreams well enough upon waking to create what I invented... I dunno, maybe I'd have a Tony by now. :-D

Maybe she is Catholic... that'd explain why she was always preggo :)

hehehe :)

She couldn't *always* be pregnant. Maybe she only has her super powers when she's pregnant?

And what about her kids? Would they have powers? Maybe she has powers in proximity to them?

Does she get extra powers when she barefooted? Or would she lose them?

Maybe she could be convinced that she is bearing the child of the Ghost Who Walks.

So it's a Phantom pregnancy ...

On the aside, I occasionally wake up with what I am sure would be an Instant Pop Classic melody running through my head; sadly, I can't play a note, and said melody soon evaporates.

I suspect that Jesus, Buddah or L. Ron Hubbard is seriously messing with me.

Love the preggo lady! I'm following you on Twitter because we e-mailed once before and you came up when I searched my e-mail! I'm MagentaKristen and I have a clown nose in my pic.

I can definitely understand how lame it is to wake up and realize that your idea isn't as brilliant as once thought.

When I first read this, I thought the fifth panel said "go down on some villians," and I thought, "Man, this lady keeps scoring!"

I finally started using that twitter thing last fall, and i was really resisting it, too. It's weird, i don't understand it and i am really against the concept but for some reason...i can't...stop...

oh yea, and i just started "following" you.

I've been meaning to say a little hello, but I keep forgetting. So...hi! And happy late birthday! :)

I'm one o' them who friended your journal after it was in the LJ spotlight, and I've really fallen in love with your art. You and your comics are hilarious and inspiring, and too awesome! :D

Lmao. The expressions in this are priceless.

I've not long woken up and arrived at work and I can just about remeber the content of my dream. Wierd how you wake up remembering your dream.. but then you blink and it's gone!

I dreamt that I'd been kidnapped by these two criminals (Not your average "ive escaped from prison" criminals.. more like "Batman" criminals.. or the singers from "witch doctor".. with less vibrant hair. 0.o) and they'd done so because they thought I could look at the design of a weapon and turn it into a giant version of it disguised as a building... It then kinda moulded into this wierd dream, which I think was slightly tainted by the film "Twilight"

This is SO TRUE! I often think I have the most amazing ideas for plots in my dreams, despite knowing full well that I can't write even ok fiction when I'm awake.

your comics are always great, but this one had me laugh my ass off! i also have these *amazing* dream ideas of, like, nonsensical stories. and when you wake up it's like "but surely it's not romantic for the guy to violate the restraining order by hiding in the girl's house? isn't that a bit psycho and scary?"

and hey! pregnant superheroes are an extremely under-represented group! there's a market niche right there! and maybe one of her powers is that she's super-fertile!

c'mon! it's great! :D
