Lucy Knisley

Like, you know, Stephanie Meyer? Get it? [Mar. 25th, 2009|12:23 pm]

Did you ever think about reading these books, but then thought:
"I don't really have the time/attention span/proper sort of pre-teen hormonal fascination with vampires"?
Now you can see what happens without taking an entire weekend of your life to wade through
approx. 4000 pages of descriptions on how pretty Edward is!
Read on.

Second Page, Cut for SPOILERZZZCollapse )

Not to step on any Twilight fan's indestructible vampiric toes. I did actually very much enjoy my weekend in Forks.
(as evidenced by my reading the entire series in a weekend)
It's just SO FUN to fun on it.

PS: I have NOT seen the movie yet. I will hit that up movie-rental-store style tewt sweeet.
Because I am the only person on earth who doesn't have freakin' Netflix.

Why does knowing that you are not the only one to succumb to this series does not make you feel any better about yourself?

O woe.

So very very true. I too am a victim of Twilight addiction. I knew it was bad for me but I kept on reading.

Those summaries are the funniest thing I have seen in a long while. hilarious!

I do heart you.

There are so many reasons I love you, Lucy!
1. You put me in a comic.
2. You put Oblong in a comic.
3. You distilled the entire Twilight saga into a perfect comic!

You must watch the movie. It's delish!

Complete awesomeness

You have completely summed it up! This is hilarious. And yes, it is just so fun to fun on it. I thoroughly enjoyed reading all 4 books and hate myself for it.

BUT DO NOT SEE THE MOVIE! Worst film ever.

I know exactly how you feel. I was all filled with twilight hate, but i couldn't seem to put them down. it was like some kind of crazy drug.
I'm better now. Rehab only took a couple of months as well. :)

Tragically, this is my life. I won't tell you how old I am because then I'd have to kill myself.

That is SOOO true. There was so much shame in my heart when I desparately searched the local book stores for the 2nd, 3rd, & 4th books.

I proudly wear my "Forks Spartans" shirt and "then buffy staked Edward, the end" shirts together. :)

That happened to me also.

Wow, that first comic sums up how I came to read to Twilight books. I'm a completist so once I start something I have to finish it. At first I thought there was only one book in the series. I finished the first book and then found out that there were more. I went back to library to read New Moon and was put on a waiting list for Eclipse. After a month of waiting I got fed up and just bought the third book. And I really want to read the fourth book to see if it's as bad (or worse) then people say it is.
