In this house, we refer to the spiral as the shrimp.

This is delightful. I think my favorite is The Flop.

My kitty makes those exact same poses. Like... exact. Finally, someone who understands the difference between kittyloaf and hen-ing!

I remember the "hug n bite" formation from your watercolor tutorial. That's an adorable painful one.

Bwahaha Linney is fantastic. The observant spiral made me laugh.

I used to have a dog who did a variant of the flop. She would just fold her legs. I don't mean fold and gracefully lower herself. She would be standing and just raise her legs and crash down. We always knew when the dog was taking a nap. You could hear the crash and feel the house shudder when she fell. Weird dog.

Billie the poodle does this, too. She's skinnier, though, so there's no aftershock. :c)

(Actually, she does a lot of these, including "Quad Mitten Defense." Did I accidentally get a 50-lb, curly-haired cat when I ordered a poodle?)

Does your kitty always look so furious?

The hug-n-bite is a favorite of every Maine coon I've met.

Quad Mitten Defense is a good strategy. When i see two dogs playing, I like to guess which one will use it.
