My delighted thanks to Alison Abreu-Garcia for her help in setting all this up for me! Wordpress is way more complicated than I thought when I tried to figure it out on my own. Thanks, also, to the other kind folks who offered to help me out with this stuff-- Anyone who can understand and manipulate the internet to their will like that is a total genius in my book.
And my main site remains intact (www.LucyKnisley.com), to continue being a crazy collection of music, comics, videos, art and miscellany. This journal shall remain also, as my blog, announcement headquarters, art and doodle dump, repository for pictures of my cat (deal with it), and artist's commentary.

I'm probably going to BOTH East and West Drink and Draw Like a Lady parties;

The eastern one is being held in the bookshop managed by my dad-- it's a gorgeous little shop in Chelsea, and I can't wait to see it filled with so many of my comics chums!
I did this little drawing for Phil McAndrew's Favorite Movie Scene Contest. Mine is from the original Bedazzled, with Peter Cook and Dudley Moore. Peter (as the devil) is explaining to Dudley about his unfair expulsion from heaven. This movie's theology is the only one that has ever made any sense to me.
Also, my gym requires you to write a letter to their main offices in order to cancel your membership (which is a slightly silly but very savvy policy). I sent them this:
